On 25 March, La Camara, The Spanish-Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in collaboration with Australian Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (ACICA), hosted an insightful discussion on dispute resolution in the context of Australian and Spanish business relations, in the lead-up to ICCA 2026 Madrid Congress.
Held at DLA Piper in Sydney, the event brought together industry leaders and legal experts from the energy and infrastructure sectors to explore key developments in international arbitration, including the enforcement of arbitral awards.
We were pleased to hear from an outstanding panel of speakers: Inma Conde – University of Sydney, Diego Salinas – Elecnor Australia, Jacqueline Truong – Ferrovial Construction, and Victor Lau – ACCIONA, moderated by Gitanjali Bajaj and John Gallagher – DLA Piper, who shared valuable insights and practical perspectives on navigating cross-border disputes.
We would also like to thank our President, Sylvia Fernandez, for her welcoming remarks, and Judith Levine, President of Australian Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (ACICA), for closing the session.
