Renewable Energy Forum 2018
La Camara, The Spanish Australian Chamber of Commerce, is proud to bring to you the 2018 Renewable Energy Forum on The Future of Clean Energy in Australia: Beyond 2020.
Spain continues to be a global leader in renewable energy and home to the world’s largest multinational companies involved in this field. In 2017, an average of 33% of total generated energy was sourced from the renewable energy sector alone and of this, 24% from wind and photovoltaics. In terms of global rankings, Spain has the largest capacity of solar thermal electricity in the world, is the fourth largest generator of wind power and ranks eighth in terms of installed global photovoltaic power.
Members of La Camara include global companies who are now significant contributors to the rapidly expanding renewable energy sector in Australia and are currently developing key wind and solar projects in NSW, Queensland, ACT, South Australia and Victoria.
This Forum will bring together key stakeholders representing both Australian and Spanish expertise including leading developers, regulators, industry bodies and financiers to discuss the challenges of delivering projects, emerging technologies, future policy direction and investment in the clean energy sector.
