2025 International Women’s Day Brunch at Cosentino

2025 International Women’s Day Brunch at Cosentino

La Camara, The Spanish-Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, had the pleasure of holding a brunch last Friday at Cosentino City Sydney, celebrating International Women’s Day (IWD), which was generously hosted by our corporate member, Cosentino.

The themes of our event coincided with this year’s IWD campaing:

Accelerate Action – highlighting the urgency and importance of accelerating efforts to eliminate systemic barriers and biases that impede women’s equality: and

March Forward: for ALL Women and Girls – calling for action that can unlock equal rights, power and opportunities for all and a future where no one is left behind. Central to this vision is empowering the next generation – youth, particularly young women and adolescent girls – as catalysts for lasting change.

Sylvia Fernandez, President of La Camara, and Maria del Rocio Rueda Lopez, the Regional Director of COSENTINO Australia, led with insightful addresses on the work that has been done to eliminate systemic barriers and the work that remains to be done and facilitated two panels with speakers from the diplomatic and corporate perspectives. We thank our speakers and panellists below:

-H.E. Esther Monterrubio Villar, Ambassador of Spain
-Mr. Rodrigo Tilve, Chief Economic and Trade Commisioner of Spain
-Ms. Rebeca Chantal, Consul General of Spain
-Mrs. Coral Martinez Iscar, Cultural Consul of Spain & Director – Instituto Cervantes
-Maria del Rocio Rueda Lopez, Cosentino
-Maja Kowalski, MAICD, PMP, Indra
-Mariano Villaescusa, Consystex
-Lynsey Malor, Marchese Architects

Thank you to all those who attended and contributed to the conversation. It was an important opportunity to connect, share and work towards a more inclusive future. Together, we can be the generation to close de gap to achieve gender equality.

We look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events.
