Viscofan Group is the global leader in the manufacture of casings for the food industry based in Pamplona, Spain. It is listed on the Spanish stock exchange.
In November 2018 Viscofan purchased the Globus Group of Companies. The Globus Group had been established in 1949, and has production facilities in Bankstown in NSW, distribution and commercial office in Melbourne and in Wellington, New Zealand.
They have sales representation across both countries, and employ a total of around 100 people. Viscofan Globus Australia and New Zealand, as the new companies are called, continue to service a diverse customer base with a range of casings including collagen, cellulose, fibrous and plastics.
