The pandemic has impacted all businesses during the last two years. Despite the challenges and restrictions, Amigoos Association (Aid Migrants of Spanish Speaking) hasn’t stopped celebrating the richness of difference through learning experiences, cultural activities, food events, and promoting intercultural exchange through workshops, concerts, and other socio-cultural activities.
Amigoss Association will organize several events in the upcoming months and will be please to invite members and friends of La Camara to attend.
Don’t miss out on them:
- Summer Streets Festival at Glebe on 12th February from 11am to 10pm. We will delight you with typical Hispanic American food and Mexican Organic Chocolate.
- Activities for the Women’s International Day in March will be shared soon through Amigoos Association Social Media
Amigoss Childcare continues the partnership with the Australian Research Council (ARC) Centre of Excellence for the Dynamics of Language for the Little Multilingual Minds (LMM) program.
The program helps investigate how languages vary, how we learn them, how we process them and how they evolve. The program is open to different ages.
- LLM ECE: Children attending the childcare center have access to Spanish learning lessons by a native experienced trainer in a tailor-made program using play-based learning and thematic learning.
- LMM Primary: Children enrolled in primary school can attend this program in virtual or face-to-face settings. The principles, structure, and teaching guidelines are aligned with the Australian and international educational curricula.
Amigoos Association has been celebrating the richness of difference since 1975

Amigoss Association’s main objectives are promoting intercultural exchange through workshops, concerts, and other socio-cultural activities and being an example of a community of migrants who can honor their own culture while being an active part of the diverse Australian culture.
