- Brisbane City Council has awarded Indra a contract to implement its Operational Support System and on-board technology on Brisbane’s new fleet of battery electric high-capacity vehicles as part of the Brisbane Metro project.
- The solution will integrate data obtained from the metros’ on-board systems, charging facilities, busway infrastructure and timetable schedules to provide situational awareness and service performance information to the metro operators, as well as present passengers with an enhanced customer experience.
- Indra’s cloud-based solution will deliver a robust, secure, scalable platform for Brisbane Metro and offer Council the opportunity to expand use of the system to other vehicles in its public transport fleet.
- This project for Australia’s third most populous city will reinforce Indra’s presence in several fields of transport in the country, with projects for the railways of Sydney Trains, Transurban’s roads and now, Brisbane Metro.
